MICRONEEDLING

  • Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, involves using fine needles to create tiny punctures in the skin. These micro-injuries stimulate the body's natural healing process, promoting collagen and elastin production. This results in smoother, firmer skin and can improve the appearance of scars, wrinkles, and pigmentation issues.

  • Pain levels can vary depending on individual tolerance and the depth of the treatment. Typically, microneedling is well-tolerated with the use of numbing cream applied prior to the procedure. Most people describe the sensation as mild discomfort rather than pain.

  • After microneedling, you may experience redness and mild swelling, similar to a sunburn, for a day or two. Some people also notice slight pinpoint bleeding immediately after the procedure. Over the following days and weeks, your skin will gradually improve in texture and tone as collagen remodels.

  • The benefits of microneedling include:

    • Reduction in fine lines and wrinkles

    • Improvement in acne scars and other types of scars

    • Evening out of skin tone and texture

    • Enhanced absorption of skincare products

    • Minimal downtime compared to more invasive procedures

01

Collagen Production

Microneedling stimulates the natural production of collagen and elastin, which are essential for maintaining firm, youthful skin. This helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging, giving the skin a smoother and plumper look over time.

02

Reduces Scarring

This treatment is highly effective in minimising the appearance of acne scars, surgical scars, and pigmentation issues like sunspots and melasma. By encouraging skin regeneration, microneedling helps to break down old scar tissue and promote an even skin tone.

03

Enahnced Skin Asorpsion

The micro-channels created during the procedure allow skincare products, such as serums and moisturisers, to penetrate deeper into the skin. This maximises the effectiveness of active ingredients, leading to better hydration, nourishment, and overall skin health.
